Compatible with the standard Field Notes memo books (3-1/2" x 5-1/2"), this storage cabinet is a convenient and fun way to organize and store all of your new and archived memo books. The cabinet is extremely robust, and can store up to ten memo books. The front cover panel flips up, then slides back into the cabinet for easy insertion or removal of the books. In addition, each cabinet contains 2 embedded magnets on each of the four sides (left, right, top and bottom), allowing you to join adjacent cabinets on any side to create a storage array to suit your needs!

You can either choose the complete cabinet with the cover panel color of your choice, or you can purchase only the cover panel if you wish to change things up with a new color for a cabinet you previously purchased.

    • Black Cabinet

We would like to provide some helpful tips on this particular product which will make it easier for you to print these models successfully if you choose to print them on your own printer. The following information refers to the settings we use when printing, however feel free to use whatever setting you are comfortable with to get a successful print on your specific printer:

CABINET:

  • The printed cabinet consumes over 350 grams of filament
  • These are printed with 3 walls, 10% infill
  • Print the part facing up, with the back wall of the cabinet sitting on the build plate. No supports are required.
  • The cabinet is designed to use 1/4" diameter x 1/4" long N48 neodymium magnets. As a courtesy to our customers, we do offer these magnets in a set of 8 on our site HERE.
  • The magnet holes should provide a light press-fit with the magnets, no glue is required. You may want to use a large right angle Allen wrench or similar to install them.
  • Magnet polarity is critical to ensure all the cabinets connect to one another. We install them so that the "North" pole is facing outward on the top and left sides, and the "South" pole is facing outward on the right and bottom sides. If you do not have a means to test the polarity of the magnets, just make sure you install them so that adjacent cabinets will connect to each other by testing the magnet orientation before installation.
  • You can find inexpensive magnet polarity testers on Amazon for approximately $12.00 USD

COVER PANEL:

  • The printed cover panel consumes approximately 60 grams of filament
  • These are printed with 3 walls, 15% infill
  • Orient the cover panel so that the hole for the knob is facing down on the build plate. No supports are required.
  • You can print the cover panel and the knob at the same time.
  • The knob must be inserted into the star-shaped hole in the cover panel. It requires a press-fit and will take a fair amount of force to insert the knob. Make sure the tip of the knob (the part that is inserted into the hole) does not have any excess filament, or it may prevent the knob from inserting completely into the hole. Running the top surface across a sheet of sandpaper can easily remove any excess filament. You may also want to place a very small drop of super glue gel on the tip of the knob before inserting it into the hole to ensure it will never inadvertently pop out. Although this is not likely to happen, constant use of pulling on the knob may eventually work it loose.
  • To install the cover panel into the cabinet, simply squeeze the flexures on the sides at the top, and insert the ends into the slots at the top of the cabinet

PLEASE NOTE: we offer the print files under the condition that you understand the basics of 3D printing and how to print the models on your specific printer. The parts for this product can be printed without supports, however we will not offer advice on print settings, filament, or any related requirements. However we do offer printing tips on this particular product, please refer to the "3D Printing" tab above.

Shipping Times

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the current logistics delays, shipping times may take longer than expected. This is especially true for International shipments, where delivery times can take weeks longer than usual. This is beyond our control, and we ask that you please be patient with expected deliveries until shipping companies get back to a more "normal" schedule.

We make every effort to process orders within one working day, however there may be slight delays depending upon the number of orders we receive, holiday periods and available staffing resources. Typically we will process all orders within no more than 2 working days.

Shipping times (from the time the package is dropped off at the carrier) will vary depending upon the carrier, method of shipment and destination. For example USPS Domestic First Class Mail should take between 2-3 days, but we have seen instances of 5-7 days. Domestic Priority Mail should take 1-2 days, but can take anywhere from 1-4 days. Domestic Express Mail should take one day, but that is only if your processed order is delivered to the post office before the cutoff time (typically 12:00 noon). Also keep in mind that weather and travel distance can have an effect on delivery times.

International shipments have even more variables that must be considered. A package sent by USPS First Class International can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks, sometimes longer depending upon the country. International shipments have the potential of being delayed by Customs, as well as having additional taxes or fees levied on a package. These are out of our control, and we advise that you become familiar with your specific country's shipping regulations to understand the impact to your shipment.
