For the ultimate in one-of-a-kind tritium glow fobs, look no further than the TEC Isotope Reactor. The Reactor Fob is designed to hold three glass tritium vials (not included) which will glow continuously for many years without the need to charge them from sunlight or UV light. The Reactor is configured to provide the highest visibility of mounted tritium vials than any other Isotope model we offer. The virtually unobstructed view of three 3mm x 23mm tritium vials in different colors gives off an amazing glow, and the vials are well protected by the Ti-6Al-4V titanium construction and durable borosilicate glass window.

The tritium vials are easy to install, and the design provides a simple way to remove the vials if you want to exchange them for different colors. In addition, O-rings are integrated at both ends of the glass window to provide a water resistant assembly. Please refer to the "Installation" tab for details.

    Borosilicate Glass:
    Although we have integrated a glass window in this product and is therefore susceptible to breakage, we use a very high quality borosilicate glass. This is similar to the more familiar brand name Pyrex, and is extremely durable against thermal stress and shock. It is also scratch resistant and provides a crystal clear view of the tritium vials. We have performed 5' high drop tests of the Reactor assembly onto a hard concrete surface without glass breakage. However please bear in mind that this does not guarantee it will always survive such a fall, or that the installed tritium vials will survive such shock so please consider this in your application.

    The TEC Isotope Fob Series are keychain fobs specifically designed to mount standard 3mm x 23mm and/or 3mm x 11mm self-luminous tritium vials. They do not include tritium vials, you must purchase them from another source typically outside the United States.

    Install tritium vials and assemble as shown:

    Installation Instructions:

    1. Remove the Reactor assembly from the foam packaging. NOTE: The cap is not retained in place during shipping and can separate from the body once removed from the packaging. 
    2. Remove the cap. NOTE: Leave the glass window and o-rings in place.
    3. Install the 3 tritium vials (not supplied) in each of the 3 bores. Make sure each vial is seated into the holes at the bottom of the spindle.
    4. Install the rubber plugs on top of the tritium vials. NOTE: The rubber plugs need to get pushed into the bore below the spindle surface to prevent movement of the 3 tritium vials. DO NOT USE HIGH FORCE TO INSTALL THE RUBBER PLUG INTO THE HOLE, AS YOU MAY DAMAGE THE GLASS TRITIUM VIAL.
    5. Re-install the cap.
    6. Install the small O-ring over the spindle shaft, into the shaft groove.
    7. Install the split ring through the hole in the spindle shaft.

    Shipping Times

    PLEASE NOTE: Due to the current logistics delays, shipping times may take longer than expected. This is especially true for International shipments, where delivery times can take weeks longer than usual. This is beyond our control, and we ask that you please be patient with expected deliveries until shipping companies get back to a more "normal" schedule.

    We make every effort to process orders within one working day, however there may be slight delays depending upon the number of orders we receive, holiday periods and available staffing resources. Typically we will process all orders within no more than 2 working days.

    Shipping times (from the time the package is dropped off at the carrier) will vary depending upon the carrier, method of shipment and destination. For example USPS Domestic First Class Mail should take between 2-3 days, but we have seen instances of 5-7 days. Domestic Priority Mail should take 1-2 days, but can take anywhere from 1-4 days. Domestic Express Mail should take one day, but that is only if your processed order is delivered to the post office before the cutoff time (typically 12:00 noon). Also keep in mind that weather and travel distance can have an effect on delivery times.

    International shipments have even more variables that must be considered. A package sent by USPS First Class International can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks, sometimes longer depending upon the country. International shipments have the potential of being delayed by Customs, as well as having additional taxes or fees levied on a package. These are out of our control, and we advise that you become familiar with your specific country's shipping regulations to understand the impact to your shipment.

    Looks like a winner but I’m still waiting for tritium sticks from China. I didn’t go wit the 3 companies that TEC recommends & I hope I get them soon. Too bad TEC can’t sell ‘em.

    Great for power outages!

    I bought 5 of these as a backup for flashlights. They're excellent If you disperse them throughout your house. When the power goes out, you don't even need a flashlight to move about your house. Great way to save battery power. I will be buying more! They are great!
