Our travel mugs have either a plastic or stainless steel interior wall. Which style to choose is essentially a personal one, but here are some issues to consider before making your purchase.
Plastic Interior
- Not rated as dishwasher safe (although it can usually stand up to occasional cycles thru the dishwasher)
- No need to "pre-heat" the mug before adding your beverage
Stainless Steel Interior
- Dishwasher safe
- It is best to "pre-heat" the mug by adding hot or boiling water to heat the stainless steel. This will prevent the mug from "pulling" the heat from your beverage and causing it to cool prematurely
